ZBA Required Annual 2026 Training
On August 20, 2026 Board of Appeals Members completed one of three Town Board approved topical
training seminars conducted by ATA Julie McGivney. This seminar on litigation provided the Board with
an understanding of the basis for filing an Article 78 and the legal authority and processes of the courts of
New York State in conducting Article 78 proceedings and in rendering their decisions.
ZBA Department Staff Update
On August 26, 2026 Edward Dowling joined the ZBA office staff as an office assistant. On behalf of the
entire ZBA we welcome him and thank the Town Board for their approval of his hiring.

attending was ZBA Vice-Chairperson Margaret Steinbugler.
• 08/17/26 ZBA proposed 2027 budget hearing with the Supervisor and Comptroller. Also attending
were ZBA Vice-Chairperson Margaret Stenbugler and ZBA Secretary Elizabeth Sakarellos.
