Area of wetlands on lot: +/-524 square feet Percent coverage of lot: +/- 1.8 Closest distance between nearest existing structure and upland edge of wetlands: > 100 feet Closest distance between nearest proposed structure and upland edge of wetlands: +/-18 feet swimming pool&patio Does the project involve excavation or filling? N o X —Yes as required for proposed swimming pool If yes, how much material will be excavated? <200 cubic yards How much material will be filled? N/A cubic yards Depth of which material will be removed or deposited: +/-8 feet Proposed slope throughout the area of operations: N/A Manner in which material will be removed or deposited: Standard construction practices Statement of the effect, if any, on the wetlands and tidal waters of the town that may result by reason of such proposed operations (use attachments if appropriate): The project consists of the construction of an entirely inground swimming pool and associated grade-level patio, both set back at least 78 feet from wetlands and thus well more than the minimum 60 feet required by Chapter 275. The pool and patio are also modestly designed;positioned well above the groundwater table at EL 13;and strategically situated amongst several mature trees so that no trees are to be removed. The pool fencing is positioned close to the waterside of the pool, and a drywell proposed to contain pool backwash is proposed more than 100 feet from wetlands. And a 10-foot wide vegetated non-turf buffer is proposed adjacent to the tidal wetlands boundary and in place of the existing lawn located to the north of the naturally vegetated wooded area. The pool will therefore be well protected from potential flooding and erosion risks;will have no adverse impacts on water quality;and will cause no physical loss, degradation,or functional loss of ecological components,or otherwise impair the quality or function of the adjacent tidal wetland ecosystem, consistent with the goals of LWRP Policies 4,5 and 6,and with the standards for permit issuance set forth in Section 275-12 of the Town Code. s 617.20 Appendix B Short Environmental Assessment Form . The pool and patio are also modestly designed; positioned well above the groundwater table at EL 13; and strategically situated amongst several mature trees so that no trees are to be removed. The pool will therefore be well protected from potential flooding and erosion risks; will have no adverse impacts on water quality;and will cause no physical loss, degradation,or functional loss of ecological components,or otherwise impair the quality or function of the adjacent tidal wetland ecosystem, consistent with the goals of LWRP Policies 4, 5 and 6, and with the standards for permit issuance set forth in Section 275-12 of the Town Code. t --SEE ATTACHED ADDENDUM-- Attach additional sheets if necessary Policy 7.
