This application is for the replacement of the previously removed 3,000-gallon above
ground diesel tank with a 1,000-gallon double wall above ground diesel tank set on an
8" high concrete pad extending a minimum of 12" beyond all tank edges.
The proposed action has been reviewed under Chapter §268, Waterfront Consistency
Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization
Program (LWRP) Policy Standards.
Based upon the information provided on the LWRP Consistency Assessment Form
submitted to this department, as well as the records available to me, it is my
recommendation that the proposed action is EXEMPT with the policies of the LWRP as
follows:
Town Code Chapter §268-3 Definitions
MINOR ACTIONS EE. Upgrades to existing fuel tanks, provided that erosion
control measures are implemented
The proposed action is not subjected to LWRP review because the proposed
replacement tank is smaller than the original and the double walls will reduce spillage.
The proposed action has been reviewed under Chapter §268, Waterfront Consistency
Review of the Town of Southold Town Code and the Local Waterfront Revitalization
Program (LWRP) Policy Standards.
