To prevent the leakage of buried contaminants identified in a portion of the bottom area to be dredged, approximately 30%of the dredge
area will be initially overdredged and then capped with gravel, pursuant to regulatory guidance and requirements from the New York

The project proposes maintenance dredging to restore historically established navigable water depths for boat dockage in a private communal boat basin whose current configuration was permitted
in 1989.The spoil material will be dredged via suction dredge and pumped into geotextile bags placed in a temporary spoil deposition site situated landward of the adjacent beach to the south,
where the material will be allowed to dewater prior to being removed for permanent offsite disposal. To prevent the leakage of buried contaminants identified in a portion of the bottom area to be
dredged, approximately 30%of the dredge area will be initially overdredged and then rapped with gravel, pursuant to regulatory guidance and requirements from the New York State Dept.of
Environmental Conservation. And to minimize potential impacts associated with ephemeral turbidity created by the dredging activity,a silt curtain will be deployed to prevent temporarily
suspended sediment from extending outside the boat basin and into Sage Basin. The project will therefore maintain the use and navigability of the boat basin without significantly adversely
affecting the surrounding the surface waters or wetland ecosystem.
Attach additional sheets if necessary
