General Contractor shall be responsible to have visited the site and to have verified all existing conditions prior to submission of bid. Drawings shall not be scaled for information. Figured dimensions and conditions shall be verified in the field. If a dimension is needed which is not found in the drawings, the Contractor must contact the Architect for additional information. If any errors or omissions are found in the the drawings, the Contractor must contact the Architect for clarification. Should the Contractor fail to follow this procedure and continue with work, the Contractor shall assume responsibility and be held liable for situations arising therefrom. All items of work identified on the drawings by name, note or material designation shall be considered as new work, unless otherwise noted. All materials, fixtures, fittings, products,finishes, and assemblies shall be installed in accordance with the manufacturer's latest specifications and/or instructions and shall meet all code requirements.Any conflict between the Architectural drawings and the manufacturer's specifications or instructions must be brought to the attention of the Architect in writing and written instructions must be obtained before proceeding. All work shall be performed in accordance with the highest standards of the trade practices. Each trade shall cooperate with each other trade in facilitating job scheduling and completion. Proprietary names identifying items of work are used to designate the standard of construction. In the case that said items can not be used, only items of equal or higher quality shall be used in place of specified items as per Architect's approval. Contractor shall be responsible for any damage sustained to the structure as a result of his work, and shall repair any damaged part or surfaces thereof to its pre-existing condition or as may be required to complete the work in its entirety. At the completion of each work day, General Contractor shall be responsible for the cleaning and removal of rubbish from the job site. Rubbish removal shall be in a dust-inhibitive manner and the job site shall be left free of all debris and broom-cleaned upon the completion of each work day. Material to be removed, which is not to be relocated and/or retained by the owner, shall become the property of the Contractor and shall be removed from the premises. Clean all floors, walls, doors, miscellaneous metals, glass, etc. leaving job site free of dust and debris prior to completion. All Mechanical and Electrical work shall be in full conformance with the adopted National Building Code and all other applicable codes and regulations having jurisdiction. Plumbing work shall be installed by a Plumber licensed with the County of Suffolk, in accordance with New York State regulations and all other national plumbing codes and agencies having jurisdiction. Electrical work shall be installed by an Electrician licensed in the County of Suffolk, in accordance with the New York State construction code and all other national electric codes and agencies having jurisdiction. Contractor to supply the owner with an Underwriter's Laboratory Fire Certificate for all Electrical work. All work shall meet applicable State and National Fire Codes, including (but not limited to) any required fire-separation measures between parts of the building.
