Dear Madam or Sir:
My uncle and aunt, Dr. Gerald and Lois Dorman of Orient, are
anticipating the sale of their residential property: Dr. Dorman
purchased the property in 1958 and none of the buildings on the
property have Certificates of Occupancy. Nor does the dock, which
has been in place at least since the 19301s, have a permit.
In that regard, I submit the enclosed application and copy of
a •survey dated 1958, in support of Certificates of Occupancy for:
;f~ a) the main residential house;
\ b) the garage;
c) 'the guest cottage; and
d) the barn.
'I, also enclose a Consent to Inspect.
In support of a grandfather permit for the dock, I enclose an
application, a copy of the 1958 survey reflecting the existence of
the dock, statements from neighbors and my own attorney's
Affirmation.
The application fees of $100.00 for each application are also
enclosed.
I understand an inspection may be required. If so .Rjeas6

MARY D. DORMAN, ESQ. , being an attorney duly admitted to the
practice of law, affirm the following under penalties of perjury:
1. I am the niece of GERALD D. DORMAN and was born 12/30/49.
2 . My earliest recollection of my uncle's dock was when I
was 13 years old in 1952. I visited him for the weekend and caught
an entire bushel basket of blowfish off the end of the dock.
3 . In 1967 my father puchased a Boston Whaler for our family
and we kept it at my uncle's dock until the boat was sold fifteen
years later.
4. The dock has always been the same configuration.
5. I have kept my 17-foot boat there for the last four
years.
6. The dock is in good repair and fully func ional .
