Dear Mr. Morrison;
Reference is made to your letter of
November 4, 1960.
The Town of Southold does not record
in the County Clerk's Office the boundary line
agreements of individual owners which you refer
to in your letter. However, I am enclosing herewith
the original boundary line agreements pertaining
to your property.
These agreements are official documents
which must be permanently retained in the Town
Clerk's Office. You may wish to have photostatic
copies made of these agreements for recording
and/or for your own files. After they have served
their purpose, kindly return them to this office.

ATTENTION: Mrs. Marion A. Regent, Sec.
Gentlemen:
With respect to the Quit Claim Deeds which were given
to the individual property owners by the Town of Southold
it was necessary for the adjoining property owners to
enter into boundary line agreements.
My agreements were forwarded to your office at the
time I requested the Quit Claim Deed. I 'am presently in
the process of having my title policy set up a guarantee
for my ownership bf the lands between the old high water
mark and the new one, on Mattituck Creek.
I received notification from the Title Guarantee Company
stating that the boundary line agreements were not on file
in the County Clerk' s Office in Suffolk County. If it is
not the intention of the Town of Southold to record same
kindly send them to me so I may have them recorded--i.e.
the boundary line agreements pertaining to my property
only.
Thank you again for your kindness and cooperation.

ATTENTION: Robert W. Tasker, Esq .
Gentlemen:
I refer to your letter of February 18, 1959 and am wondering
what action the Board of Trustees of the Town of Southold have
taken with respect to my problem concerning the lands between
the hold high water mark and the new high water mark on Mattituck
Creed in the Town of Southhold®
I have visited this property from time to time during the
past summer and have noted that quite a bit of erosion has
started on the banks of the dredged creed. I should like to
eliminate this contition by bulkheading part of this property.
However, even though I have been deeded all of my predecessorts
right, title and interest in and to the filled land lying between
the low high water mark and the new high water mark on this Creek
The Title Guaranty and Trust Company does not guarantee ownership
in and to this land to me.
In order to eliminate any question in the title record con-
cerning ownership of this land I believe it expedient that the
Town of Southhold deed to me, by Quit Claim Deed, any right,
title and interest it may claim in and to these lands between
the present high water mark and the high water mark as it pre-
viously existed®

Re: Mason to Morrison
ATTENTION: Robert W. Tasker, Esq.
Dear Mr. Tasker:
Referring to our telephone conversation of January 21,
1959 with respect to my purchase of properties located in
the Westview Section of Mattituck, Town of Southhold,
Suffolk County, New York, and more particuarly with respect
to the land between the 1950 high water mark and the present
high water mark, kindly let me know whether or not you have
decided the manner in which I should proceed in order to
have the Town of Southhold give me a quit claim deed or
bargain and sale deed to this land which is immediately
adjacent to the properties wn.ich I purchased on January 21,
1959.
For your information, in searching the title it was de-
termined that the land between the old high water mark and
the present one belongs to the Town of Southhold. The reason
there is land between these two points at the present time
is because of the dredging operations that took place in the
Mattituck River and inlet a year or so ago.
The sand that was dredged from the bottom of the river
was thrown upon the shore line adjacent thereon and thereby
filling in from the old high water mark to the present one.
I am sure it was not the intent of the Town of Soughhold to
deprive the adjacent property owners of the rights which they
ejoyed prior to the dredging operations with respect to their
access to the waterway.
Your kind cooperation in informing me the manner in which
to proceed will be greatly appreciated so I may have this
matter cleared up before the spring,
Griffing, Smith Tasker & Lu berg , Esgs.

ATTENTION: Robert W. Tasker, Esq.
Gentlemen:
On November 6, 1959 I wrote you requesting
information concerning what actioh the Board of Trustees
of the Town of Southold have taken with respect to the
lands between the old high water mark and the new high
water mark on Mattituck Greek in the Town of Southhold.
To date I have had no reply concerning
this matter and I should very much like to know where I
stand so I may do something about the erosion problem
existing there.
Will ,you kindly advise?
Thank you for your cooperation.
Very truly yours,
